Terms and Conditions

This website is owned and operated by Natural Born Leaders. This page sets forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us.

This website offers visitors information on how and where to connect with other world schooling and unschooling families by attending our teen-led community hubs. By accessing or using this website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

Who May Use this Website

In order to use our website and/or hire our services, you must be at least 18 years of age, or of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive our services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation applicable to you.

Commercial Terms for our Services

When buying our service, you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full service listing before making a commitment to buy it; (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase a service when you commit to buy a service and you complete the check-out payment process.

Right to Change Product Pricing

The prices we charge for using our services are listed on the website. We reserve the right to change our prices displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. Additional information about pricing and sales tax is available on the payments page.

Returns and Refunds

The fees to attend our community hubs are non-refundable. In the case that your family can no longer attend our community hubs, a partial credit will be issued:

Natural Born Leaders will not accept any liability for airline changes and flight cancellations. Refunds will not be issued should you need to arrive later than planned or in the case of you being unable to secure flights should yours be cancelled. Please also ensure before booking that you can purchase flights that are suitable for your stay with us and that you have adequate insurance to cover you for flight cancellations and changes.

We acknowledge that local challenges, including potential interference by organised groups or local government officials, can occur in certain areas. This may result in complications or disruptions to our community hub, including forced closure.

We are committed to adhering to all local and national laws and regulations. Should any external party force the closure of our hub, we will comply in order to ensure the safety and security of all participants and staff.

In circumstances described above, we are under no obligation to refund any fees, as these funds are committed in advance to operational costs. Participants acknowledge that these modifications or closures are due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control and do not warrant financial compensation.

In the event of such an interruption, we will communicate with participants as promptly and as transparently as circumstances allow, providing information about the impact on the hub and any next steps.

Rights to Change Offerings on the website

We may, without prior notice, change our services; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

Ownership of Intellectual Property, Logos and Copyrights

Our Services and all materials therein or transferred thereby, including, without limitation, software, images, text, graphics, logos, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, are the exclusive property of Natural Born Leaders. Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create a license in or under any such Intellectual Property Rights, and you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit or create derivative works thereof.

All content acquired, either by us and/or by others such as participants, during our community hubs will remain the property of the respective author/creator. By content we mean any audio, video, photos, images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files, reviews and/or other (multi)media content. This includes content submitted, posted or displayed by you.

You hereby grant us the right to use and (re)post the acquired content for promotional and marketing purposes, unless explicitly mentioned otherwise before the act of acquiring takes place. This includes the right to (re)produce, use, disclose and distribute such information to any third-party we work with for promotional and marketing purposes.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Natural Born Leaders harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys’ fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of the website or any of the services offered on the website.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Natural Born Leaders be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the services.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Natural Born Leaders assumes no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our services; and (iii) any unauthorised access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

Responsibility & Liability

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate travel insurance that covers you and your family for all eventualities including, but not limited to, personal accident and injury, public liability, pre-existing medical conditions, cancellation charges, medical expenses and repatriation in the event of accident or illness including Covid. If you are participating in high-risk activities such as climbing, horse riding, scuba-diving or quad biking, you need to ensure that your travel insurance covers these too. If you choose to attend any activity without adequate insurance cover, we will not be liable for any losses whatsoever arising.

We are not and shall not be responsible in any way in case of a Covid outbreak or spread during our community hubs.

Your children remain your responsibility throughout the whole hub. We recommend at least one parent or guardian to be present on site at the hub and on trips or outings. It is acceptable for parents to liaise with each other to ensure an adult has responsibility for their child if they need to be elsewhere at any point. In this case we should be informed in advance of who the responsible adult is that has been allocated to that child.

In case of special medical, dietary, psychological, care, or other special needs of your children, you are required to alert us during the registration process and be held responsible and expected to accompany your children to assist their special needs.

Alcohol, smoking, vaping, or drugs are not allowed during participation in our community hubs at all times.

By participating in any activities or utilising the facilities provided by Natural Born Leaders in rented premises, you acknowledge and understand that you do so at your own risk. We expressly disclaim any responsibility or liability for accidents, injuries, damages, or losses that may occur due to inadequate building safety conditions.

We strongly encourage you to exercise caution, be aware of your surroundings, and take necessary precautions to ensure your personal safety while using the rented premises. It is recommended to familiarise yourself and your children with the emergency exits and evacuation procedures and report any safety concerns to the appropriate authorities.

By accepting and continuing to use the facilities rented by us, you signify your understanding and agreement to this disclaimer of responsibility for building safety.

You are expected to conduct yourself in an orderly and acceptable manner and not to disrupt the enjoyment of others. We expect you to behave at all times in accordance with our Community Hub Rules. If, in our reasonable opinion, your behaviour or the behaviour of someone in your family is not compliant with our Community Hub Rules, we reserve the right to terminate your booking and limit your access to our community hubs, activities, events, and social gatherings.

In the event of such termination, we will have no further obligations to you and/or your family and our liability will cease to you. No refunds will be made, and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of termination. You and/or your family may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions, and we will hold you and each member of your family jointly and individually liable for any damage or losses caused by you or any member of your family.

We cannot be held responsible for the actions or behaviour of other guests or individuals who have no connection with your booking or with us.

Rights to Change and Modify Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review this page periodically. When we change the Terms in a material manner, we will notify you here that material changes have been made to the Terms. Your continued use of the website or our services after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to any of these Terms or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access (or continue to access) the website or the services.

Promotional Content and Contact Forms

You agree to receive from time to time promotional messages and materials from us, by email or any other contact form you may provide us with (including your phone number for calls or text messages). If you don't want to receive such promotional materials or notices – please notify [email protected] at any time.

Data Protection

Our data protection policy is in line and in accordance with U.K. data protection requirements. Your personal information will be held in secure password protected encrypted files. Data will be held for no more than 5 years and you are able to request that we remove and delete your data at any time.

We will only use your data for activities that require us to do so for the organisation of the services and activities that you are booking with us.

For full details on our data protection and privacy policy, please visit our Privacy Policy page.

Dispute Resolution

We hope to never have a dispute, but in the case we do, Natural Born Leaders and you agree to resolve the problem informally for 60 days. If at that point there is not a suitable solution, disputes will be resolved via a binding arbitration process.

Any dispute out of or in connection with these Terms shall at the first instance be referred to the authorised representatives of Natural Born Leaders and be resolved by amicable negotiations FAILING WHICH such resolution shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (“LCIA Rules”). The Tribunal shall consist of one arbitrator who shall be appointed with the consent of Natural Born Leaders and you, failing which the President of the LCIA shall appoint the arbitrator. All arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in the English language. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on Natural Born Leaders and you.
